About

We are a group of people who share a love of textiles.  Our skills and interests are wide ranging.  Some of us are inexperienced sewers, still learning about the delights of patchwork and quilting.  Others have been sewing in various ways for a long time but still enjoy learning new techniques or hearing speakers talk about textiles across the world.  Some of us hand sew, some of us use machines and some love both.

We meet on the second Wednesday of the month at Rhodes Memorial Hall in Brockhampton village in Gloucestershire (GL54 5XH) from 7.30 to 9.30.

At our meetings, we do patchwork and quilting and chat with our friends.  We often have external speakers who inspire us with their quilts or their textile work.  We organise some Saturday workshops where we learn new textile techniques.  We also visit national exhibitions.  We have full members (who attend most meetings) and associate members (who pay when they attend).  Full members pay £26 a year, associates  £6 plus £3 for each meeting they attend.  Visitors are welcome to meetings with speakers for a small charge of £3.  We meet for Sit and Sew on the last Wednesday of the month sometimes in Rhodes Hall, in Winchcombe in the winter and occasionally at charity venues.(£1 for tea/coffee and biscuits

Every 2 years in September, we hold an exhibition to raise funds for the group and we produce a group quilt which is raffled for charity.  Our next exhibition will be on 16th and 17th of September 2017 at Rhodes Hall, Brockhampton.

We also run a young quilters group open to anyone aged from 5 to 18 years.
It meets once a month on a Saturday Morning in the Rhodes Memorial Hall Brockhampton from 10am to 12.30 pm. Contact Georgina on 01242 820423.

We welcome new members so if you are interested in finding out a bit more about us then look at the ‘how to join us page’

I’ve just moved to Cirencester. I would like to come to your meetings on the second Wednesday of the month, but could you let me know what time?
