Bag making

19 01 2013

I’ve been making a bag using Oakshott fabric and a Korean pattern with instructions courtesy of google translator.  Working out what it means has been quite a challenge but the final result after a lot of hand applique and some unusual techniques is below.  What do you think?  Would you buy a kit for it?  Any opinions appreciated!  I’m now writing English instructions.

Super bag Susan. Not into making bags myself but can definitely see the attraction in that one plus the fact the subtle Oakshott fabrics you have used is a real winner. I’m sure you will get plenty of takers for the instructions in English.

I’m trying them out for Michael but it’s hard to know what will sell. He is selling the leather handles from the Korean company so they would go in the kit. There was a lot of hand sewing but some of it could be done by machine.
